    Hi Folks

yesterday I was fortunate enough to be part of the JDM Allstars media team capturing the action in practice and qualifying sessions for todays competition.

I should have been back there again today for the competition but unfortunately I got sunburnt and sunstroke and feel pretty rubbish today LOL. Anyone who is at the event today is in for a real treat.

I'm slowly working my way through the photos and I'll add them to the flickr group.

Some very very good driving yesterday - I have some predictions about who'll be on the podium today - but lets see how things pan out :smokin:

Thanks for your kind words people :)

I'm using a Canon EOS 7D body - my first outing since switching up from my 450D and I have to say its spot on.

Action shots were done on a Canon EF 70-200 f2.8 IS USM - sometimes with a canon EF 1.4x extender for a bit of extra reach.

Statics where mainly done on a Canon EF-S 17-55 f2.8 IS USM.

Damn you and your pronographic-spec lenses Ian!

Was good to catch up at the weekend, shame you couldn't make the Sunday though.

Nice shots, love the capture of the smoke pouring from Phil's dish :D

You too Laura. Really looking forward to seeing yours, ross's and the rest of the media crews shots/video - especially the wide angle stuff - that is going to be sooo different.

Wish I'd have been about for the bikes jumping and stuff  but my head was too fried to make it back on the Sunday. If Alastair and Nial will have me back I'll probably catch you at the next event.

Maybe next time I'll take you up on your kind offer of trying the 100-400mm f5.6 - with an EF 1.4 extender on the end that would be like just under 900mm on my cropped sensor body :O - I bet I couldn't hold it steady enough to get a shot LOL.

Wow - thats the first sympathy I've got - everyone else just thought it was funny I was all burnt and red LOL.

No need for emails and ting dude - Just find your shots in the flickr set - pic a photo - select the all sizes link and you'll find the max resolution ones are there too - hit download - job done - mostly about 4800(ish) pixels wide unless they needed a serious crop :)

Just credit me if you use them for anything dude.

Lol yeah the poor lens was lying on the floor, useless all day! Awe! Just typical I had techincal problems after looking forward to this so much.

I got sunburned too - on my arm! That'll teach me for trying to keep the sun out of my eyes!
