i know RB30s CAN be awesome... most of the time they end up being an awesome pain in the arse. plus, they dont rev crazy... in the same way i prefer a 1JZ to the sound of a 2JZ...
cause we like to do it our own way in this part of the world, and basic physics measures power output in watts not how many ponys are running around under your bonnet like the yanks think. yeah rb30's can be a pain to get right. but when done properly dam do they go well. from these videos though i think his turbo might be just s lil to big for his drift application or driving style, as he's clutch kicking like he's doing the river dance in some parts... just my opinion though, should be alot more torque down lower for him than he has if it was me.
Youv got it, sounds like the limiter is around 7000rpm and i agree the bigger the engine the worse they seem to sound i would never want to go bigger than a 2.7 with my rb26 ull never catch me building an rb30,my 26 uset to love reving to 9000rpm. Hence also why i am building a 1j at the moment and not a 2j
Stones, feet, psi, mph is so retarted imo, the only problem we have in Sweden we still use bhp not kw
haha yea we dont use inches, mph or farenheight. we use mm,KMH,degrees c,HP & KW,we still use psi but in engineering everything is usually in bar
