What do you mean by "normal" engine? You got a steam engine in there at the moment? :D

Well for one you need to tell us what engine you want to use.

Common conversions are, SR, 1JZ, 2JZ, RB20, RB25 and LSx just to name a few. Some will cost a few hundred, others many thousands!

Thats a CA18DET. You can't say normal because s13s came with both the non turbo and turbo SR20s and non turbo and turbo CA18s. So nobody has any idea what you are talking about when you say normal.

How good are you mechanically? CA18 is a piece of piss to put in if you have half a brain, but if you've never done it before it can seem daunting.

    P.S - CA18s suck shit. :)

Personally mate, if you've not really done it before, i would go help someone else do theres first and pick the tircks up.. otherwise you will ruin your engine and waste alot of money.

So many people have a go and fail then end up paying someone like me to put it right.. works out twince as much.

If you can afford it, pay someone to do the work and know its done right so you cna just go and enjoy the car.

Yar I wouldn't even bother with the CA18. Get an SR and do it yourself if you have the time, the equipment and the place to work on it.

Give me a call tomorrow...I've got SR20 straight cams in stock and can fit it for you too. Not too far from you either...pick up and drop off of car can be arranged also.

Just get stuck in mate, hire or borrow a hoist. Get a friend to help you.

mark any wires u disconnect, so u won't get mixed up putting the new one in.

Just take your time, and u will do it no bother.

as clarkey said, its better to get someone who knows what there doing to do it/help

as if you havnt done it before and you fuck it up, it can be even harder for someone to put right

id do it for £200, but im all the way down in kent
