Here's a few clips of drivers from the practice day at Teesside on the 14th March. Try to watch each driver from a neutral perspective and then vote for whichever one you think is the most entertaining. That may not be the one that would normally win a judged competition! It doesn't matter what criteria you use as long as the reason for your vote is not 'well he's my friend innit!'. Ideally I'd like an option for everyone to score each driver individually. Any ideas anyone? More people are prone to see it in there, and it has media in the post... so cant see why not mate Just go for it and if it gets moved it gets moved, but cant see why it will
Peter Green's E30 was the car of the day for me. He had some very consitant laps aswell. Plus it has that V8!
Sorry to everyone else, but its Peter for me! Loved that car, and the smoke was epic! So were the runs!
What is the purpose of this thread? I've voted for Peter Green by the way, but it's not like there's stiff competition.
I should have set it to multiple vote so you could vote for your best three. It's obvious that V8 will win. (Oh, and the driver didn't do a bad job too!)
Its for each drift day. Instead of having to find judges or anything for a competition, each driver has video'd runs and the public vote for the best driver.
It was an idea I had back in 2008 before drifting was originally banned here. I wanted to put something a little extra into practice days without them being full blown competitions. I don't think this forum has the ability to carry out my ideas properly though. Ideally I need a new thread for every driver so each driver could be rated out of 10 then, after a period of time the scoring can stop and all tallied together. I might start a new forum (so it doesn't neadlessly clog this one up) just for this next time I do it. Like I said on the initial thread - any ideas?
Could tell lovegravy was a cut above th rest just from his first initiation. Then was the first to link the first 2 corners. Peter green would probably win a comp from big power smokeyness though. Voted Lovegravy
tbh mate this isnt going to work simply because no one can be arsed watching about twenty minutes of clips of at best below average driving and remember who was best. i watched a few random clips and got very very bored. only way you can do it is have the same stretch of track for about 30 secs per driver max. the only people who are going to be interested and vote are the people you dont want to! (friends etc) edit- after rereading above comments, watch peter green clip. yep definetly him. completly different level of driving compared to the others. pretty good stuff!
Yep would def say Peter Green and Lovegravy the best 2. Most of the other names could be put in a hat and pulled out for 3rd place. Not much in it between maybe 6 drivers. Problem with this forum, is most people will judge as the pro's do, which is unfair to most of us out there just having fun. Some people are clearly too far up there own arse to appreciate other peoples attempts.
Peter Green without a doubt. Was hoping for big things from the first ten seconds of Vlads vid purely on the ballls out speed but Peter was hands down the best by a long shot
i agree with you there john to an extent but what this looks like to an outside eye is "Competition - Who is the best?".... Most of us are just like you say out to have fun, couple of competitors turn up for practice whilst we turn up to learn....Cant really see the point in asking whos the best. like dave says, it should be how well out of say 10 did you think each driver did, rather then who is the best sort of thing... But for people like you and me it was all fun and i couldnt care less who or what car is the best cause i sure as hell know i fucking loved every minuite of being shit
but thats my point man. unless you know those involved, it really isnt entertaining enough to watch! i wouldnt expect anyone to be interested in a video of my driving unless i did something amazing. just how it is. dont mean that in a mean way at all. my post wasnt meant to be a "meehh your all shit" post. it was constructive criticism as to how a poll vote on here prob wouldnt work in the way the op wants it to. but good to hear you enjoyed it, thats what counts.
