So.. I was riding a bmx bike for a while after selling my old cressida. I was extremely sick of going to drift events and seeing people driving and not being able to drive myself.

So I decided that with the little money i had, i would buy a car. My friend had a 1983 Mazda RX-7 Sitting in his driveway for months, had no battery, I had never heard it run, but i trusted him when he said "it runs perfect..when it runs". So i bought it.

Here it is when it was in my friend possesion

So bone stock, with a sparco sprint jr installed.
I decided to choppy the springs(no money for coilovers lol) and this was the turn out..

Wasn't low enough as I wasn't scraping everywhere I went(i love low).. so i cut the springs some more, then the shocks bottomed out, so i need to get short stroke shocks :(

So now i tuck 205/50/13's all around..

I am on the hunt for an open diff to weld up, or im going to rebuild the LSD that's in it.

So for a grand total of $450 canadian dollars, i think i have myself a pretty good car.. minus the fact that it gets like -100mpg, i love it

definitely a 12a. Love it.. if it pops im either going to get another 12a to toss in here, while i rebuild/port this 12a. Or im getting a KA24DE from a 240 and putting it in.

I love the sound of 12a's when they get ported, best sounding rotary IMO, rawer than a 13b or 20b. Although Mad Mikes 26b sounds awesome in the metal.

How are these for drifting as there was a mint and i mean mint one with full red interior for sale over here but he wanted quite a bit and they look to retro to trash. Also isnt there a silly law in us/canada that if you fit a cage it has to be a FULL cage and approved if using harnesses?

No idea about the cage thing to be honest. As for drifting its like a corolla.. a corolla with like 120hp and as many rpms as you want :)

changes have been made. getting 14x8 0 offset fronts still but now getting 14x9 -20 for rears. Measured everything today and I will need to roll/pull the fronts a fair bit, but with the rear flares the back will be mint
