Okay, If your not a starwars fan then you won't even understand the significance of it, but I have a bit of a problem. My wife has never watched the starwars films, which order do you think I should show them in? It's kinda a different story depending on the order (ie: 123456 or 456123) Any sci-fi freaks on here got an opinion?
just show her the originals and completly forget the shower of shite that was the newer films. ive managed to block them out from my memory.
Loved the old as a kid. As for the new well they must of been that shit I didn't really pay attention and can't see myself watching Xmas repeats year on end So yeah as above, just show her the old skool way and practice your chewbacca roar lol
you didn't know? Chris played chewbacca in the first one, he quit after that becasue he wanted to grow more hair, but George Lucas was afraid he might end up looking like cousin IT from Adams Family. (wich was, not a big surprise, ended up being done by Chris aswell)
If you have to show them all, I'd do it in the order 123456. That way the shit ones are out the way and hopefully forgetten afterwards. And with her not having seen any of them before, I'd guess she's not that into sci-fi, so Episode 1 should break her in nicely.
Lol, true dexington. Julan Smith replaced me in Empire and RoTJ. I think 456 is the way to go. I'll show her 123 because I quite liked 3 and showing her in in isolation won't make sense. Plus, she's a girl so she'll geek out over the badly written, poorly constructed and genuinly unbelievable love story between Anakin and Padame. It's funny, because watching 456123 the big shocker to the whole story is that Vader is lukes father. But if you watch it 123456 then te shocker is that Anakin turned to the darkside and became Vader. By the time the reveal happens in Empire, it's like "yeah, and what?" Edit: Lol at Ben. Indeed sir :-)
hmmm it's a tough one chris. i'd make her watch the sequence twice in different orders and then get her to write a full dissertation on the artistic merits of each sequence. then make her watch the remastered copies and again provide written explanation why she hasn't watched them previosly!!! all without sleep or a break imho
456123 fo shizzle then the clone wars film then clone wars series 1 Tv show, then series 2 all in one weekend then make her watch YouTube - Snatch Wars (Snatch Vs Star Wars)‏ and show her these and ask if she agrees Im wearing a yoda tshirt and Darth Vader socks - that how awesome i am
had the same dilema with my son, went for 456 then 123. but made a point of finding the original versions of 456 without all that extra crud added in, I really hate that bit in the canteen where they made it look like solo fires first. lol he prefers the originals as they are better films. it's that simple.
Ive had Obi Wan, as my avatar! for this exact moment. and the answer is order of the story line.... save the best till last
123456 as thats how it was always ment to be played out. doesnt matter if 123 are not as good as 456, if she didnt grow up watching any of them then its not going to matter to her. dont forget to let her watch the holiday special too
as jack said. Just show her the originals and nothing else. My chicks has watched one of the new ones and hated it so much she wont watch the original ones and has banned me watching them while she is in the room. hell even george lucas has apologised for the new ones
Don't forget the Robot Chicken versions too Plus there was a shocking Ewoks spin off movie, 'Caravan of Courage'...................................'Hi, I'm Dave, and I'm a GEEK!!!!!!!'
