which oil for my m3???

    hey guys i have just serviced my m3 ready for pembrey on friday, changed oil filter and oil put 5/40 oil in and now i have just read somewhere that i need 10/60 for drifting! please help my brother reciently had the con rod come out of the side of the block at mallory and he was using 5/40 could this have been the problem?? i have changed the standard sump to the 3.2 baffled sump so hoping this helps as well. thanks

    You definitely need 10/60 for it, because you've got very high revs and this causes high temps while you drifting, and the lubricating film of the 5/40 won't last long until your conrod say hello to the track.
