Will the washers between the tie rod and steering rack increase max steering angle on an e46 like on e36's. Ive never done this on a car before and don't fully understand how it works yet but I've enough people online rave about it so I'll give it ago if you say. I've got a few ideas of mods I could do to increase steering angle but I don't know if they will work yet like mounting the tie rod end closer to the pivot point of the wheel making the steering more direct. Are there any other methods?
I've been told about wisefab but I'm guessing the kits will be expensive!

    wisefab is a 1000 euros.

On the e46 you can drill a hole closer to the center of the knuckle.
Have to be the same tapered hole as standard...

    try measuring?
could you not use a reamer to make the tapered part?
or you could possibly find tapered press in inserts...
