    ----
It was time for London to finally host a round of the JDM All Stars drift series and what better venue than right next to the most infamous football stadium in the country, Wembley. The course was laid out and the drivers seemed happy with it, plenty of smooth transitional areas with technical clipping points.

We arrived on the Saturday to cover our associates Jap Performance Parts and their Skyline Powered Subaru peddled by Walton Smith – now more famous than the Beatles.
The Jap Performance Parts stand setup in front of the Wembley Stadium arc, they were situated in between our friends from Malta – Team Maximum Lock and a selection of cars from the London Motor Museum.
Walton’s office for the day, note the passenger seat on the left. There were plenty of VIP’s on the JPP stand that needed their curiosity of the art of drifting quenched by a quick blast in the Subaru!
A good example of Bozosuku styling, its brave i’ll give them that!
Waltons early practice runs went with out incident, can’t wait to see the footage from the camera mounted on top!
Brad McQueen was trying his hardest is to get used to the flow of the track, suffice to say he got it nailed!
Alberton Cona from Italy wowed on lookers with his mish mash of BMW Chassis, S13 Running Gear and body with a Celica front end…
    [IMG]
James Deane pushing his Nissan PS13 a little too close to the wall. Taking a JPP, Drift Monkey and Driftworks banner in the process.
A very tidy BMW heading up the Speedhunters/Touge Speed Shop
    [IMG]
Christy Carpenter pushing Alan Sinnot and his AE86 hard during the open practice sessions!
Matt Carter in his Falken S14 showing why Falken’s are the tyre of choice when it comes to drifting. He managed to produce a very healthy amount smoke consistently, my camera likes this!
Typical September weather brought a mix of both rain and sunshine – rainbow time!
The build up of discarded tyre around the perimeter of the track creates a very interesting scene
    [IMG]
Dai Yoshihara current leading points scorer in the Formula-D drift series, in America, took up the last minute offer in the Driftworks S15
    [IMG]
Our friends from Malta, Team Maximum Lock, entertaining the crowds whilst there is a gap in proceedings at Wembley
    [IMG]
Matt Chiappa leading Alan Sniott in his S13 during the Top 32 Battles, we will be releasing a personal driver video for him very soon
    [IMG]
Filipo Pirini in his Mazda MX5 leading the infamous Walton Smith driving the JPP Subaru both very hard in the Top 32, unfortunately Filipo wouldn’t make it through to the final 16.
Christy Carpenter drifting away into the Wembley evening sun!
The top 16 Drivers are presented to the crowd, unfortunately the september weather would let us down again. Rain + Drifting = no fun!
Dai Yoshihara taking a few minutes out to compose and ready himself for the Top 16 Battles
    [IMG]
James Deane and his fellow Irish compatriot Wez Keating fighting it out in the Top 16, James being the better driver and making it through
    [IMG]
Walton Smith and Dai Yoshihara battling it out in the Top 16 – unfortunately Walton wouldn’t make it through following gearbox failure, giving Dai a place in the Top 8
    [IMG]
James Deane leading Alan Sinnot in the Semi Finals. James would go on to win the event which would in turn seal his championship win in style!
Expect media coverage of Round 6 to be varied and plentiful!
James will enjoy yet another Championship Win in the JDM All star series, this one even sweeter than the last!
Even though Walton and Sajid wouldn’t enjoy a podium finish this time round, they still walk away with this rather large shinny trophy for finishing 3rd over all in the championship!

Leaving Wembley left us wanting more but we shall have to wait until next year for more excitement, thrills and spills that is the JDM All Stars!
