Its a bit tricky to read things isn't it? Colour contrast and fonts are a bit strange.. What do all the rest of you think?
I definitely prefer this one, it seems more straight forward but its hurting my eyes a little bit.. with the colours and font sizes on some parts
We welcome all feedback both positive and negative.. constructive would certainly be a bonus mind. A few notes: - You will find the search a bit slow for a few hours while it rebuilds the vast amount of history on this forum, but we are aware of this. - Older embedded videos will not display currently.. I'm working on a global fix for this, but if you want your videos to show heres a quick guide: edit your post and find the code simular to this: HTML: Drift AllStars with Hellaflush UK - YouTube simple change the tags to 'video' and add '=source;' and then the videos ID like this: HTML: it looks complicated at first but its not too bad. **Remember this is only for old posts.. new videos will work as normal - paste the link in and the forum does the rest** Any other issues or feedback then let us know.
I think its the grey text that makes it har to read and on the index page the sections have no dividing lines any more
Yeah, some dividing orange lines here and there would make it much more user friendly, as of now it's just gray all over the place. And the ads you've put in from the shop are kind of disrupting the reading pattern. Liking auto-save though, and the design is great apart from the stuff written above Going to take a few days getting used to, but I won't moan as I know very well how it feels to have 20k users shouting shit at you for having changed their beloved design.
Hey Phil Nice work There are a few glitches, first one is the header, "Shop" is highlighted instead of "Forum".. it does this in the "About" section as well.. :] When you navigate off a Quick Reply box, the text goes black.. you should adjust this to go grey. Anyone not seeing the forum index page correctly, you're browser is probably caching old CSS data, try to refresh the page or clear the browser cache Joeh Edit: Also the <Legend> CSS title is too dark, maybe lighten this up a bit, you can see this in the "Edit Profile" section inside Settings Edit 2: The icons for "Read/Unread" in the forum index are a little to subtle/hard to notice for "Unread" with a slight blue tick, could you make this another colour that is stronger? Like DW's Orange? Edit 3: Vendors/staff profile icon bits - for example "Driftworks Staff" under your username - above your post count is too wide and the background colour is from the old skin
Its promotion of the DW shop since the forums are free. I think they should implement membership level to allow add-free etc.
+1, the adds are really annoying, colors are definitely harsh on the eyes, new layout looks good though!!
Flik make avatars bigger standard seems to be 100x75 rather than 80x80 none of the image hosts support 80x80 It will just take some getting used to
Fixed. Thanks. For us 'about' selecets the blog.. which is correct? Yeah.. I fixed this in testing.. however in upgrading today this got missed. Will do that in a second. We like the effect.. but black is too much! Edit: Also the <Legend> CSS title is too dark, maybe lighten this up a bit, you can see this in the "Edit Profile" section inside Settings
Well it could be post based? Having membership could mean we could have more PM storage, maybe image storage etc because some limitations of being a standard user can be quite irritating. Either that or make the borders/text colour a bit darker so its not so harsh to the eyes? Edit: Actually I've got used to the adds already - doesn't really bother my viewing
