    Hi guys,

here is my new project car:
    A '92 Nissan Skyline R32 GTS with a 1JZ under the bonnet.

It was offered here in november and I went over to the UK the first december weekend to pic it up.

The road trip begun on Friday, like every Friday..

At midday I was on the road, ready to pic up a friend of mine and went straight to Dunkirk.

First we went to EPRacing to pic up some parts, after that we visited Cardiff, where a friend of is studying.
It was unbelievable for us, german girls are so.. Prudish..

On Sunday we left Cardiff towards project D, to pic it up.

Picking up the car at project D (thanks again Andrew, it was a pleasure!

    Alright,
I made the last update a long time ago, so here are some news:

I took the car out of the garage in may to check it's mapping and how it drives at that point.
    Here are some pictures:

Yes you're right, it's a bit wet under it. But no problem, it's just lost about 1,5 Liters of oil. I recogniced it, filled it up again retightened my relocation kit, which wasn't fitted perfectly from my best friend and costs me about 30 quid, but who cares? ^^

Since january a lot of parts arrived, here is just a small overview:

And thats how it looks right now. The next 3 weeks are going to be full of stripping it down, replace parts and be pissed of by everything not working :D

    Day 1:
I brought all the parts to my garage and started to strip it inside down. The trunk is now empty, after that I started to sort out all the wires going there into the back of the car and teared all of them out, exept the ones for the lightes.
The Dashboard is also half removed. At that point I've recognised that the old wiring loom is still in the car, so I will try to get all of that aswell out there.

Tomorrow I will start to rip out all the tar mats and remove even more of the dashboard.

    Pictures will follow tomorrow!

If you see him next time, say to him it was a plessure to deal with him. Oh no wait, he wasn't at the workshop when I piced it up. I hope for him there is really a 2 disc clutch in it. If not, I'm gonna come back to the UK to say hello.

The work will start again in 20 minutes!

Toby. A pleasure to deal with? Clearly you didn't meet him.

I only had the pleasure of driving this car once and I still have very fond memories of it. Glad someone who is going to appreciate it owns it now. Even if it's not me or Dale.:wack:

Thanks mate, I'm so thankfull that a member from this forum (akinadan79, many many thanks again for ALL!) exchanged them against my CV- Pro's.

    Day 2:
Unfortunately I wasn't able to do all I wanted to do. Everything inside is now stripped out (including the dashboard and the carpet), just the car top facing is still at its place. Also I started to sort the wires out, that I didn't need any more. The steel cables which operate the trunk and the filler cap has been removed too ( both hasn't done their job correctly). The first wires from the inside where removed and the dashboard was freed from the aircon pipes. The doors where also stripped down.

Tomorrow the loom will be sorted.

    Here are some pictures:

    Day 3:
Today the first wires from the loom were removed. The loom from the b-pillar to the dashboard is seperated and the wires that will be removed were put aside. In the evening I managed to get the aircon out. Only the ventilation heater is still in the car, removing 2 water hoses in the dark doesn't seem to be the best idea to me. The mistery wiring loom on the drivers side is still unidentified. But it figured out that the JZ loom is conected to the original one.. Tomorrow is going to be awesome.

    Day 4:
Wires, everywhere wires.. Today was the best and the worst day since I started. When I started to seperate the main wiring loom I recognised that both were soldered together. Instandly the first tool got some airtime, but it didn't get out of the car as aspected, it landed on my food after hiting the B-pillar. Oh cock.. To get a clear mind, I tried to get the roof off as good as possible. I really tried. Well, the screws were so hard fixed, every weld joint would be out of butter, compaired to them. Result: I had to rip it all out. After that I unstiched the whole loom and recognized that the aircon got 15 wires! In the evening I identified almost all wires from the loom and seperated them. Tomorrow it will continued.
Oh: The ventilation is now completely out.

Todays work is finished. The loom is almost out, just tomorrow and it should be fine inside the car.
