Thought it was about time i actually posted up a thread. Currently got the car in the garage as I'm waiting until the insurance on my glanza runs out. Got the car saturday 25th feb and stripped out the boot, despoilered and filled the boot lid and took off the front bumper ready to be primed the following day. Ordered bc racing coilovers on 27th and fitted them the following saturday. So far I have a good collection of parts: fmic, hks filter, HKS carbon ti exhaust with unknown downpipe and decat, steering wheel, and an apexi gauge. Hoping to crack on with it this weekend and get a fair bit fitted and done. It's half stripped but crap weather last weekend put paid to any more work. Anyway I will post up pics of all the stuff thats happened so far. Matt {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {}
Well I haven’t posted anything on this for years. Silvia had a mishap with someone deciding a crash for cash was a good idea. So I decided to go with a full rebuild. This is around 4 years of on and off work. Picture heavy

Need to finish sanding the filler on the boot after dealing which will have dealt with the holes left behind after removing the rear spoiler. Next job on the list: fabricate the frame to hold the oil cooler once it arrives. It's an eBay china special but it was complete kit including Tomei style oil take off for £99 so I can't complain. After that it'll be fabricate the frame for the power steering cooler once I've purchased that. I think both of these will go into the front arch, but we shall see once I've had a good look at the space and mounting points. After that it's fabricating the intercooler cold pipe as that was shite and then prep for the engine to come out.
Got round to finishing the original spoiler holes. Welded a plate on the back last weekend and filled it this week. It’s pretty flush though the boot lid has warped where the spoiler was bolted up so tight. Test fitted the rear bumper a few weeks back when me and the brother in law moved the car round to access the back of it {} {} {}
So once again loads of photos to add as I’ve not had a chance to update this for a while. Quite a lot has happened to the car and life in general. Got the brackets fabricated for the oil cooler and power steering fluid cooler {} {} {} {}
I replaced the Walbro in the Glanza with a 340lph Quantum fuel pump and decided these were the way to go so I got a second one {}
In the end I settled for a ‘super’ HX35. For a fraction over £600 delivered I didn’t think that was too bad. This has an 8cm turbine housing {} {}
An Apex’i Powerfc cropped up on eBay at a price I couldn’t refuse. Fitted the hand commander in with a mobile phone holder. {} {}
Started to fabricate the down pipe. At the minute it is tacked together and needs to be purged and then welded. I have other welding to do in the very near future so I shall hit this all at once. The heater matrix hoses will need to be rerouted. By the look of it I can probably shorten these with some better hose. {} {} {}
Smoothed our the third brake light on the bootlid. A few small tacks with a bit of filler rod on some 1.5mm mild steel and filled with isopon. Any small dips in the filler were filled with filler primer and after a fair amount of time with wet and dry it’s turned out quite smooth. The bootlid does dip a bit where the brake light was but that’s possibly out of my bodywork skillset so I called it a day before I made it worse {} {} {} {}
A/C has now been fully deleted with the evaporator removed from inside the car. I sealed the holes with some sheet metal, I was going to use blind grommets though the top mount has meant the elbow is quite close and thought this would be a better solution. A bit of tiger seal inside and out the car has fully sealed the metal plate against water. This will be painted once the engine comes out. I have sealed up the evaporator housing and this is ready to go in the car so I still have heaters. {} {} {}
Bolts in the original intercooler mounts had rusted, I should have fitted stainless bolts before but I didn’t. So I have moved the mounts, used some rivnuts to provide a thread and fabricated some new lower mounts for the intercooler from some stainless I had floating around. These are more sturdy than what was on it before and won’t rust. {} {} {} {}
The Sytec fuel pressure regulator was originally fitted to the Glanza. I have a fuelling issue I have been chasing for quite some time now and suspected the regulator was at fault so I replaced it with a Sard. Issue still exists so I rebuilt this one and will reuse on the s14 instead. {} {} {}
