info about bringing a car back from ireland?

    i have seen a car im after its in dublin if i went over does anyone no how it would cost me to bring back? im in devon so would have to be a local dock and would i have to pay any tax etc i would be trailering it back to mine. cheers for any info :)

    No tax apart from your tax disc when you reg it

    the cars an ae86 its all taxed and on the road over there i would be trailering it back from the docks in the uk i just want to no where i can get to on the boat with it i am in devon so closest possible would be great but can travel.

    and also if i would need to pay import tax or what ever it is i have never imported before so strugglin to find info lol

    no import tax , you just have to register it, mot it and get your first tax disc over here ,, i brought one back .. i went from rosslare to pembroke but as far as i know you can go from dun laoighre to holyhead as well . either way its a lot of driving . u can get all the info on the dvla site or direct.gov

    I picked a car up from bristol, drove to holyhead and got the ferry to Dublin, was the cheapest and shortest crossing but its a long drive from Devon!
