I'm ashamed to say i run around in a Peugeot 106 diesel day to day and i need some advice cause i know next to feck all about fixing FWD cars!

Since i got the car its made a vibrating/juddering noise when i turn left, well now it's gotten worse and is starting to shake the steering wheel and generally sounding like the wheels are going to fall off.

I think it's something to do with the driveshafts but not sure?? It passed an MOT like it and theres no play in the wheel, so any ideas before i waste skidding money on my daily?

as above, might be easier to replace the whole shaft.

Bummer, if it only happens when i turn left does that mean i only have to change the passenger side one or drivers one? :D or do i have to do them a pair at a time?

Pardon me for perhaps sounding like a patronising douche... but have you checked the wheel nuts are tight?

the only reason i say that is I have previously had a problem years ago with an old audi i owned thought ball joints or CV joints where shagged but rather embarrassingly it turned out to be just loose nuts.

:) na that's fine, i do make stupid mistakes like that lol but not on this occasion, had the car and its been like this for about a year, had tyres changed etc but i will double check them!

Think i'll just get a pair of second hand driveshafts

Might be worth you checking GSF for new shafts!
I only say this because I recently replaced the Driveshaft/cv on my golf - Unit was £96 but when you took them the old broken one back they gave me £49.50 back! WIN WIN! worth an ask i guess!

Cv joints click normally , check the engine mounts they can cause these symptoms

Bwahaha its the passenger driveshaft I guarantee it!! as said above they are notorious on fpos, my 106 diesel did it, my missus 306 hdi has had 2 in the 4 years she has had the car and so has my brothers 306td:wack: brand new shafts from HMF in huntingdon were £80ish but as said they will refund 50% when you return the fucked shaft....most motorfactors are the same though as they send them back to be refurbed:thumbs:
