I just happened to be filming the Japspeed guys doing their thing and heard the awesome sound of the Dragon Performance RX7 en route so kept my phone filming.....ouch! I popped over afterwards to take a look at the damage and to be honest, it doesn't appear to be too bad
He was definately going for it...the thread bare 225's on the rear were testement to that and were just too far gone and he had no traction but was definately going for it, it sounded mental and the crowd were loving it!
Fair play for going for it properly. Most the cars (barring the RX7, RX8, and a few more) weren't drifting the fast bits, so the drifting was a bit poo for most of it. Shame really.
Brad Hacker was driving it for most of the day although his brother Ry did take it out for the first session. Brad will have this fixed in no time at all, he wasn't really that bothered as he had his 13B turbo RX8 in stock for the last session. Were alot of people not really drifting camp corner then? Surely everyone was sending it over avon rise & into quarry?
Santa Pod and Silverstone are the two coldest places on earth, so no. That looked like a good demo, and the Dragon car sounded evil before its little excursion, looks like a good day
its just at japfest haha its always sunny cant remember the last time i went and we had shit weather i only caught the last drift session and tbh it wasn't as good as it has been in the last few years like the team drift last year. some people weren't drifting camp corner but overall the quality of drifting was good
Not bin to any drift events as in new to the scene, it all looks good to me what sort of Bhp us that dragon performance rx7 you all talk about it likes it a beast?? Does anyone now if any events near Runcorn/ northwest anytime soon ??
anyone get any vids with me in the z32? I cant of been that bad not to get in any??...lol There must be a pic at least of me going into quarry trying to chase down mr smith in the r34?
as a side note we were told in the briefing to concentrate on drifting quarry as most of the spectators were there. Tyres were getting destroyed pretty quick so with a 20 min session you needed to get the most out of them time wise. Unless you have a big pit crew and unlimited tyre fund. My pit crew was me so if i killed the tyres on the first lap thats my session over pretty much.
Go Hard or Go Home. He managed both. Looking at the pictures it only looks cosmetic, Give it a few day's and it'l be back up
