Lydden Hill Race Circuit, Wootton, Canterbury, Kent CT4 6ET 01304 830557 Home Southwall Smokers Drift-Team | Facebook Yer thats right we're having a Drifting Weekender at Lydden Hill 1st & 2nd December 2012 This weekend will be a session style weekend with drifting all day Saturday and all Sunday afternoon, Sunday morning the track will be open for you to get involed in a soap box race down the hill and for getting your non-motorised drift trikes out that you've not used since last year. On Saturday evening lydden are going to put on a live band, there will also be a couple of bars and food. We're also going to layout a RC drift circuit in the paddock for your use and a bouncy castle and play ground for the kids Prices Weekend drift ticket including tracktime saturday, sunday, camping for 2 people £180 Saturday drifting only ticket (no camping) £120 Sunday drifting ticket (no camping) £65 Camping and spectator weekend/saturday ticket £30 pp Sunday ticket £12 Additional drivers £40 (to be paid on the day) Passengers £20 (to be paid on the day) Kids under 12 go free Driver places are limited to 100 to allow for max seat time so early booking is a must Gates will open on friday afternoon for those traveling down. We run with 3 groups novice, intermidate and pro so everyone can feel comforrtable out on the circuit 2-We are running the 3/4 loop circuit which includes the section the BDC used this year, 3-Tyres Services will be on site over the weekend (£5 PER SWAP, FROM £2.50 A TYRE, £2 DISPOSAL) All tyres will now be disposed of on the day. http://www.willsmobiletyres.co.uk/default.htm Please contact Will via his website for tyres. 4-You must hold a full UK drivers licence 5-Twinning will be allowed on track too, but you must have permission from the other driver. 6-Signing in opens at 7:00am with a drivers briefing at 8:30am which you must attend. Failure to show by this time may mean you are unable to take part and in this case no refunds will be made 7-Cliping pionts will be laid out on the circuit 8-Helmets will be required and can be hired from the circuit and arms and legs need to be cover whilst on track. Soap box race details to follow over the weekend.......Does everyone know what a soap box race is????? The idea is that you have a team of 3, 1 driver, 2 to push the box (kart). You push the box up the hill (approx 50 yards) as fast as possible, then realease the box at the top of the hill and let it free wheel down the hill, threw the cones, round paddock bend and across the line. You'll then swap driver and go again til all 3 team nembers have been in the drivers seat, fastest combined time wins. The soap box race will take place down the longer hill at lydden, rules are 1. The box must have 4 wheels 2. Have no motor or pedal power 3. Must be able to turn a corner without tipping over 4. Must have some form or brake no matter how crude the setup is 5. Each team member must be able to sit comfortable within the box 6. Helmets will be required as i expect some will get some real speed down the hill 7. Must have a form handle for pushing (kinda like a pram) 8. Teams will be made of 3 people 9. Have fun REFUNDS....... LYDDEN ARE NOW OFFERING REFUNDS UNTIL 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT DATE. With the camping can I camp in my van? I can put a bed and TV in there lol I don't really fancy being in a tent in December especially after getting pissed and not being and able to find it. I'v done the waking up in the middle of a field before... Not good.

At the moment we're only offering full weekend spaces, single day passes may come up later depending on numbers. you can sleep in whatever you like
They'd have to hold a race licence, I think it was min class b msa recognised but i'll have to double check that.

Its all to do with insurance, The licence required is one you have to apply for i'm pretty sure it's just an online application. As soon as carly gets back to me i'll let you know which one it is.
