Thought I'd post this up here see what people thought. Been wanting to build something like this for a few years. Now it's getting close to completion.

    So, here goes...

    Got myself a Suzuki GSX600F

Also acquired a Days Stryder Maxi

Can you see where this is going?

Strangely enough it has wheelie bars as standard. Think I'll be needing those.

    After a bit of this

    It looked like this

Needed to extend the chassis about 20cm and build a frame for the seat.

Then after a lot of welding and playing with an angle grinder it looked a bit like this

Still plenty left to do. Including fab up a gear linkage and attach the brakes properly.

For now I'll leave you with a couple of videos showing where it's at now.

    WARNING: LOUD NOISES!

    Quick walk around

    And a quick test

That's about it for now. Let me know what you think.

Will hopefully be trying for that record later in the year. Guinness World Records say it must look as close to standard as possible (at discretion of GWR). After I make the new fairing it should look reasonably standard-ish.

With the gearing I used, 19 tooth rear sprocket and 10" rear go-kart tyres, doing the maths says it should be good for about 120mph. And get there quickly! It's also lighter than the bike was.

Cornering will not be its strong point but it looks like it'll be fun.

Definitely not so good round corners. But it has a solid rear axle and good lock. So with a bit of practice it could be quite fun round corners. That is of course if I don't just topple over and die.

Thats what i was picking , and was going to suggest a good set of leathers a good idea, but you probably already figured they'd be a must.

It will be ready for TT. I'll be up at Ramsey Sprint, Jurby Straightliners and hopefully an appearance outside Bushys.

And leathers are a must. I have no doubt I'm going to hurt myself in a spectacular fashion.
