    1996 Toyota Soarer 1JZ VVTi R154 5MT

    Black Exterior

    Black Leather Interior

    144,000Km / 89,500 miles

Clocks are still in KM and the 112 mph speed limiter is still active.

Torsen LSD (A02B) which is tight and works perfectly

Coil over suspension (not sure on the brand, they came fitted on the car from Japan)

    KOYO Type R Radiator

    Large front mounted Intercooler

    HKS Turbo Timer

    BLITZ Super Blow Off Valve

Greddy Profec Spec 2 boost controller (Set at 13psi)

    Greddy oil catch can

Blitz Nurspec 3 Stainless Steel 3 inch exhaust system (Retains catalyst)

Paddle Clutch (Unknown brand, bite is very strong and absolutely no slip whatsoever)

Rota GTR Alloy wheels 18x9.5J (Slight curbing on front wheels)

    Roof Spoiler

    Genuine Nardi steering wheel

    Genuine TRD strut brace

    Sony stereo with Bluetooth Connectivity

    New power steering pump

    Gearbox oil changed recently

Cambelt changed in 2014 at 104k km

Aftermarket gear knob, it’s JDM, but unsure on brand!

Unsure on what brand the bumpers and side skirts are, but they look great.

Car is in excellent condition both inside and out, mechanically wants for nothing, the engine is incredibly smooth, doesn’t smoke at all, doesn’t burn a drop of oil. The oil even remains golden between servicing!

Always warmed up and cooled down properly. Stored in my garage and only used on dry days in the summer months.

The underneath hasn’t been under sealed, and it’s incredible, absolutely no areas of concern, solid.

    Bad Bits

The front bumper could do with tidying up a bit (poor fibreglass repair)

Odometer LCD screen bleed - common problem.

Has to be seen to be appreciated. I’m in no rush to sell so no silly offers please.

    £10k

I’m gauging interested, the car is currently SORN and dry stored, it will be ready for sale around April time. I could do with the space to make way for another project which requires some work. Also I really don't use it enough (<500 miles last year!).

Thanks for looking and any questions, please ask

No, converted in Japan. It’s a very good job and you’d never know. This wasn’t a consideration when I was searching for the car, as I couldn’t think of a disadvantage of purchasing a converted car if done properly. Having said that, it’s the first question people seem to ask so perhaps I’m missing something! Please englighten me if that’s the case :D

It’s more for the resale value, generally factory manuals command a higher price when being sold and seem to be extremely sought after. Had to ask given the price you’re asking for it

Fair enough, but it’s a modified car regardless so don’t see why it should or would detriment the value. Cheers

its for the purpose of buying parts , if you take it to Toyota they want the chassis number for parts .
thats the only drawback i can see, but most ppl wont take them to Toyota !

Agreed. Once you get so far who cares. It's not a numbers car.

Am I right in saying and correct me if I’m wrong autos came with a different diff compared to manuals and only one bush/diff mount like you see on auto to manual converted chasers??

you only see one diff mount on the non turbo jzx’s. Automatic tourer v’s were all 1jzgte so they all got the two diff mounts. I imagine therefore its the same with the soarer as auto turbo models have 2 bushes. Its not so important whether it was auto or manual, but whether its a factory turbo shell
