Hi all Im thinking of swapping my daily for something abit more exciting like a supra or a chaser/cresta I know you dont buy one for its fuel economy haha but if i was spending 70% of my driving in stop start traffic (about a 40min trip) and the rest at about 40-50mph, what sort of mpg would i be looking at with a manual car with a 1JZ or 2JZ twin turbo engine? Thanks
I'd say low to mid twenties is possible on an urban run with a light foot. But where is the fun in that?? I was getting five miles to the gallon from my 1JZ'd MKIV!
Why do you need a JZ for stop start traffic and 50mph commute? I'd get a diesel auto if I had to do that drive every day, save the cash for a decent weekend car
Wouldn't advise it. I used mine daily for a 40miles round trip to work and back and was spending triple figures in fuel a week Sent from my VIE-L09 using Tapatalk
Dude just get a tow car have that as a daily then build a jz whatever Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
I find mine drinks petrol in stop start traffic. You'll be lucky to be in the low twentys. I'm averaging 22 and she's relatively standard.
