    Hey guys.

I am going to be doing a single turbo conversion on my 1jzgte non vvti. I was looking at getting a gtX3076R but now from a turbo company they have suggested I use a HY35 obviously a much cheaper option. I am looking for that 400-450whp figure and want it to be pretty responsive for street use. I will be using all stock internals until finished thr conversion then I will be putting cams in.
So just wondering what peoples thoughts/experiences are with the two options.
Will the hy35 be a good option and not be to small?
    All info appreciated
    Thanks

You'll be happy with a HY35. If you're able to run a high quality twin scroll manifold, a good spec 11-12cm HX35 should spool very similarly while allowing for better top end and a bit more power.
