1uz miata swap

    With the 1 uz miata swap, do you need to change the sump or modify the sump? also am i right in thinking the 1uz is a tiny bit beter than the 3uz with the only difference being the sleeves ? cheers

    interesting. so reliability wise would i be better off getting the 3uz im guessing they're both rebuild-able ?

    Every picture posted tells me the 1UZ is the superior option.

    Either way, standard or otherwise, I would personally go for the 1UZ.
    They are so ever engineered, it shouldn't give you any issues in a crisp packet like the MX5/Eunos/Miata - it pulled my LS400 to *** speeds and that was 1700kg.

    The 1UZ has higher aftermarket support, better headroom for boost (if you wanted that) and is less complicated if you're having to go and faf about with wiring.

    so when installing into the mx5 will i need to modify or buy a new sump?
