The paint was fairly expensive, also the clear coat is very special, its so deep the images don't give the colour justice, there is loads of purple that the camera seems to not really see in the haze lol

    Loveley paint job.
more of a question as it may be the angle of the shot, but the bootlid looks slightly out of line to the rear quarters, but i can imagine with the ocd this car will get (going on past work) it will get alighned properly

I look at that Beemer and think, that's what mine looked like when it came out the factory and before I got abused!

Looks gorgeous though. Any reason why you choose Avus Blue and not some other colour?

Well main reason was I looked for this car for years, I wanted an early 3.0ltr Avus blue as I remember seeing them when I was young and being one of the fastest things on the road, I've always wanted an AVUS blue because of that reason, I could have bought any e36 and changed the colour but it was important it was original colour for the restoration.

I would do a project thread on here about the car but I think no one would be interested in my OCD-ness lol

The car looks lovely. I've only had my M3 for 3 days and i love the thing. I can see why people are such big fans of them.
