Hi, Thinking of wrapping my r33 pearl white. Just wanted to know if wrapping a car is worth it or should I just spray it. Thanks.

Depends on current condition of paintwork.

A wrap changes colour, that's about it. Will still show any dents or paint chips.

There's also plasti dip which you spray and it comes out like a wrap

Be careful with plastidip though, reports from the states of it damaging paint/lacquer.

Does paint have to be perfect before wrapping?

Half off my car is plasti dip and tbh I don't really like it,looks a bit cheap and it marks easily

Any blemishs get exaggerated by the wrap, so for a real good finish the cars got to be imaculate. Its a good alternative though, i'd definitely consider doing a full car in the future.

also worth noting that you don't have to notify the DVLA of a change of car colour with a wrap, as it's not permanent.

Just to throw it out there if your planning on getting a wrap done make sure you fully trust the company and have seen work they have done before! I had a roof wrapped at a car show by "static one" who do a lot of wrapping and by the time I had drive home it was in rag order! Literally had to peel it off within 24 hours

It shouldn't do as it's not like paint, it'a actually made into the vinyl. You can make sure it wouldn't fade by having the material laminated before application. UV protective laminates stop paint from fading and should do the same with any vinyl.

Check with the person wrapping your car beforehand as materials vary.
