Thanks! Last weekend i did my first drifting ever at Gatebil festival at mantorp track. A couple of shots from that weekend Trying some twin drift with my team mate The car works pretty good! the handling and steering is just fine, And it feels like it got a lot of grip and speed even when drifting. Althoug, i want some more power, so i can rev it upp easyer on the 5 gear.. But this will have to do for now i need to gain some more experience before i go faster I will se if i could upload some videos of the driving later
Cool project and all but this is your first drift car, you drifted for the first time at Gatebil, twin drifted with a mate there and was having trouble hooking fifth?? You picked it up pretty quickly then...
Yes, for newer cars with dsc systems and stuff So, no its not 4wd Yea, it felt pretty good, and as i said, the car feels realy god in the handling! I need to train more on the transitions in to sharp corners.. But i did also manage to hit the gravel many times to The headers are custom made by me. Here is some more pictures of them:
How is the response do you find with single turbo and headers designed like that? What made you go single and not twin? Great stuff btw
Thx! I did have some trouble with the water temp, so im going to rebuild the front end on the car to make clearenc for a bigger radiator for the next track event. Other then that i will just drive for fun and practice this season Next year i might go for a bigger turbo, and a 3 disch clutch and some minor changes and start competing in the swedish power drift series The respons is great, when at the higher rpm, there is no turbo lag at all, and even from the bottom the power comes smoth and nice, It doesn't feel like a turbo engine at all in my opinion I wanted to go twin first, but it would cost to much, in there is really no place for a twin turbo, without cutting to much in the chassi.
that is awesome!! Impressive figures aswell for a stock motor, not too clued up on the 1UZ, what sort of power will it take on stock internals? Awesome fab work on the manifold and whole car really, looks like you can drive it aswell
COOL! With those mental manifold lengths, does it go BLUBBLUBBLUBBLUBBLUBBLUBBLUBBLUBBLUBBLUBBLUBBLUB?
Thanks man! I don't know how much power it can handle with stock internals, but i guess that it can handle pretty much, it's a strong and well built engine. Wouldn't surprise me if it could handle above 600rwhp.
i have heard that they will go to 700 stock just decompressed seen the cranks in some drag applications with over 1000 on stock cranks!!! very underrated engine the 1uz!!
