This is one of the most inspirational builds that I have ever seen, even if it is in a ford.. Its heart is japanese and that what counts Keep pressing on Ed
No Escort progress as it is still tuckaed away in my Dad's garage. In the mean time I have been continuing the fabrication of My dads Midget.... This will be running a AE86 engine and box so should be fairly rapid and handle awesomely. Semi spaceframed chassis, linking front and rear suspension mountings: Bespoke 5 linked back end: Inboard, pushrod operated 3way adjustable shocks, linked into semi spaceframe: First test with it all loosely assembled:
Bye bye Midget.... Hello Escort... So, with the car back, I started toe re-assebly and cleanup of the engine.. Nice clean head... Shiney bottom end... Bolted together... Some cams.... Belts.. Noisy bits... Box on.. And In!! Now all I have to do is find all the bits I took off when I stripped it, remember where they go and wire it all back up! Hopefully it should be back on the road by the end of next month, used for a bit in the summer, then developed a bit more. Cheers
Sweet updates! Escorts looking mint now, love the look of the engine bay like that. Keep the updates ah flowin boyo.
I could swear that when I looked under the bonnet the other day it said NISSAN on the top of the engine and the intake system seemed to have a radiator in it........
