yes, but its fairly horrific, im assuming your removing it to do a set of big end shells? take the engine out, it'll be easier
Well to check them anyway slight bottom end knock investigation it had acl bearings around 2000 miles ago oil pressure dropped on tickover when hot at matsuri this weekend then the knock started
did you just change the shells? did you measure the crank? has it previously knocked or spun a shell or similar?
Not done anything to it myself it's all forged steel bottom end has been fine up until this weekend but running it in high boost it seemed to get the oil hot quick then I noticed that I had zero pressure when idling so I'm thinking thicker grade of oil and an oil cooler once I've found and sorted the issue and hope this helps in the future
zero pressure on a gauge? was the oil light on as well? did the pressure increase when given a light rev?
well if your gauge is reading ZERO and the light isnt coming on, then something is lying, the stock switch should knock the light on at circa 7psi might be worth checking actual oil pressure with a reliable mechanical gauge, but if the gauge is reading considerably less when the oil is hot, then yes, you've got some sort off issue, i'd be checking the mains and mic'ing the crank, also check your oil pressure relief valve is nice and free )
Forgot to mention I came in after the session it got hot and before I heard the knock she wouldn't start and had to jump start it as it was terming over really slow ?
sounds like its began to partially seize/pickup on a bearing whether it be a main or conrod bearing..... drain your oil into something clean and have a good look at it for metal, then whip the motor out! sorry matey
