Hi all What's everyone's best techniques I use a Nissan 200sx with about 280bhp I am bit of a novice with drifting and I found the best thing for me is to clutch pop in 2nd gear I'm using a normal diff and looking to get it welded up soon
Big flick, little clutch kick then a few dabs on the hydro if I need to slow down. You will never be able to copy someone's technique, try what they're doing and find what suits you best.
Don't go telling everybody this secret.. In all seriousness, maybe just to rip the e-brake and power over..
Hello pecs how does your clutch stick it? wot kind of clutch have you got in wot car? i ask as i also like to clutch kick but had to put a new one in mine because there was oil leaking from a turbo oil pipe and riped the clutch at the fly wheel side, out has about 60,000 left on it, i got a exidy padle from DRIFTWORKS and is going good, im just scared of doing it in ( iv got the oil leak fixed and have sealed to gearbox up at engine side but left the normal vents for the box to cool ) but it is rated to 340bhp and shes only running about 220-250??? only gessing have to get her on the rolling road. cheers
which reminds me of when you took me out at Norfolk and gave me points... 'feel the shift of the car through your arse'.. or words to that effect! and yes I know how it sounds.
this post made my head hurt are you saying you have fitted an exedy clutch and are scared that if you clutch kick your car its going to break? : ( dont know what youve been reading but i cant count how many times i have clutch kicked all of my cars with various clutches in, i mean thousands and thousands of times. they dont break! there designed to take abuse. kick the living fuck out of it. man up!
When you kick it your not slipping the clutch, its just in - out. Also Japanese fighting spirit bandanna's normally help me.
