Hello I'm Andrew from up Newcastle area UK. I've owned my mx5 for just about a year now but had it off the road doing most of the work to get it road ready. Mostly a budget car but I love it. Most work done myself and it's been a learning curve to say the least. Proud of it though but as with any project it will never truly be finished Anyway.. 1.6 mx5 Td04l turbo (running 10psi) Front mounted intercooler Ta technix Coilovers Polybushed droplinks and roll bars Upgraded brakes. Grooved discs. Pleather bucket seats (already in) Front strut brace Fitted harness bar To come... Welding diff next week Buying harness soon New shoes for it in summer That's all I can think for now. Here are some pictures. Cheers
Ah cheers. Am new to the whole drift scene like so naturally I am terrible. Hopefully I'll just get better overnight but most likely not! Turbo makes a massive difference like and it's a joy to drive. Odd rattle here and there but what can you do. These engines are bulletproof and have had no trouble with it like.
Got a paddle clutch last year for the mx but never got round to fitting it before I put it on the road. Anyone had experience in changing clutches on these or is it worth Judy paying for a garage to do it? I just have my garage to do it in so just jacks and ramps no lifts or pit etc. Cheers
