Hi, I have just fitted some 235/40/18 to my 11j rears and 215/40/18 to my 9.5j fronts.

What pressure would you recommend for this configuration?

    Many thanks
    Dan

Thanks, do you mean to season pressure up or down? The tyre fitter has put 40 in them but has told me to seek advise elsewhere...

For normal driving 32-40 will be fine mate, it doesnt make a massive difference as long as its not flat.

I usually run around 32 on the front, and 40 on the back on my 18's, but on my 15's im running 60psi in the rear.

If you're drifting, it depends on what power you got. I used to run 60psi in a 328, but in my e30 v8 I use 20psi in the rears.

As above really, for road driving you should stick to the car manufacturers recommendation.

As above for drifting my 325, run 30psi front and 60psi rear. Had to trial with the pressures to suit me though..

That depends also on what tyres you are using...
I in my 25i e36 coupe, with 15's all around, 195/50 in the front i use about 32psi (i run yokohama parada spec 2), in the rear allways depends on what tyre i can get for 0 moneyz... i usually able to get 195/50 almost weared down for free, in these i run about 45psi, but when i only can get 16's most likely 205/55, i'm forced to use about 60/62psi so i can feel the car slyding the way i like...

Thats the best advice, different cars/tyres/drivers like different tyre pressures.

Spend some time actually driving the car and thinking about the way it feels and changing it to your liking is going to give much better results than just slapping in whatever pressure the internet tells you is good.
