I recently went poly subframe mounts, and solid diff mounts (all 4).
whines like hell and hate it lol.
i had to cut the stock nissan rings out to do the rear of the diff mounts, now looking at going poly to help reduce the whine.
where is best place to get these?
    am I best replacing all 4 ?
the rears, if I go poly, will they now be too small as I have cut all the original bush out?
would sticking rubber rings between solid diff mount and subframe help reduce the noise instead of replacing them all? If so anyone done it before and what's best to use?
    all for s14 :)
    cheers guys

I imagine the rubber rings would help, but you'll still have noise transmitted through the solid bush to the bolt and thus into the chassis.

In my experience poly bushes transmit more noise than stock bushes but they're a good happy medium.

In my experience you always need to remove the metal rings. it doesn't matter where you get them it is all the same stuff. Just difference in stiffness like 90sha 70sha etc.

I'm not sure you can get poly bushes for the diff...and you can't get them for nissan. Not without buying a whole new subframe.
Just get some out of an old nissan subframe and hammer them back into yours

Someone somewhere must supply poly, there's.no way I'm using old tired bushes though.
I'll have to have a shop around I guess.

I noticed something strange on my S14 the other day.

It has solid subframe collars on top of what looks like the standard bush! I know what a bodge but it doesn't make any noise but as for making the subframe solid or improving it over standard I'm not so sure as it was already done.

Mine doesn't so much whine but when I lift off the whole car vibrates to pieces.

At first I thought it was the prop shaft catching but later turned out to be the solid mounts.

I'm going to try replacing the diff oil and going from there.

Thinking of trying rubber disks inbetween diff and suffrage before I.skunk another 50 squid on mounts,
These ones I'm looking at are 50mm round silicone washers, 3mm thick.
Worth a try for a fiver??

Yh I did think this tbh,
I've since ordered 4x 3mm thick silicone washers, thought I would put these between solid bushes and subframe.
Cost me a fiver so will see if these make any difference at all.
    Gotta be worth a.punt

So the bushes shown in the links above are just for the front of the diff?

I didn't even look, I've just bought a set of these ^^^^ from Japspeed

Is there any reason why you couldn't have a mix of Japspeed poly bushes at the front of the diff and DW solid at the rear?

Yes mate they are just fronts,
No reason you can't have solid at the back and poly at the front it was solely just for the noise for me tbh,
I think the front mounts are the main ones that transmit most noise anyway tbh
