Dakota Drift Smeatharpe Round 2 This is our 2nd event at Smeatharpe this year thanks to the continuing support of Straightliners and everyone that attends our events. 2014 events: 2rd August 11th October 15th November Please read all the details below: Ticket price info £10 Entry Ticket £60 Drift Ticket 50 Drift tickets available. Everybody has to pay £10 for entrance to the venue and then £60 to drift. So £70 total for drifters. New payment links will now be on the Straightliners website. Click on 'Book' from this link below then follow instructions to register to the site and pay. The event has sold out. To get yourself on the reserves list do the same as you would to buy a ticket and fill out the online form. Dakota Raceway Rnd 2- Drift ticket-Dakota Drag & Drift Location Smeatharpe airfield: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?sadd...15352,0.027595&t=h&mra=mift&mrsp=0&sz=15&z=14 Drift Tracks & Tuition We have 2 tracks at Smeatharpe: 1 - Large circuit style lapped track with upto 4 cars on at one time to keep the que times down. 2 - Beginner playpen with drift tuition available. There will be no spectators allowed at this track so even less pressure for anyone wanting to learn. Learn basic techniques like doughnuts, figures of eights and transitioning in a safe environment. Drivers briefing 8 - 8.30am (You need to be on time for this) Drifting starts 10am and ends 4pm. Free tyre fitting Drivers licence needed Arms and legs covered & helmets on. (Bring your own) Seatbelt/Harness done up. Take your tyres home with you and rubbish in the bins. Any fly tipping of tyres will result in you being banned from future events Noise restrictions - NO BEE-R LIMITERS! If you have one you will be asked to turn it off or so it doesn't bang like a shotgun. Obey the marshal's and flags. Bad attitudes towards the drift track marshal's is not acceptable, any problems ask for me, JK or Trevor. TOW HOOKS - easily assessible tow hooks are required front and rear Scruitneering: Cars need to be scrutineered, common sense stuff you should have really sorted yourself prior to any event: Battery secure Seat & Belts secure No fluid leaks Brakes working Footwells/interior free of junk (having a bottle roll under your pedals is not fun) Tow hook Working lights will be needed if it's foggy Team Competition info After the success of last years team comps we will be running them this year. Teams of 2 drivers competing against other teams in a jam session format. Post up on here if you want to compete with driver names and a team name if you have one. The jam session will start around mid day and go on for 2 hours. Teams will be scored on every run they do with the single highest score posted up on the live leader board. ODC We are offering scores for odc drivers at this event, it will be run along side our team competition for the 2 hours with plenty of chance to get a score in and not affecting seat time for anybody. Remember this is just added onto our practice day so no priorities for odc drivers over anyone else. Yes it sold out in 5 hours. Get yourself on the reserves list on the website, we had 10 people drop out last time so a chance you might still get a place. Just do the same as you would to buy a ticket and fill in the online form.
