    Hey guys,

    I’m Borja, 22, from Spain :)

This project is not very common in Spain: 1UZ-FE into a S14a running with ZF bmw transmission. First of all I want to running in as stock, but it’ll turbo as soon as possible.

I bought a 200sx rolling shell last year, full roll cage, reweld chassis

It was a hard decision, I didn’t know if a jz or a v8, until I found this cheap LS400

There is the new heart for Silvia :)

The reason why I chose the 530d gearbox was simple. Looking some info in US forums for this swap everybody takes the KA (bad choice) or 350z trans. In Spain the z33 one is a little bit expensive. The R154 was ruled for the price. So I saw an E30 running the 1UZ with the ZF gearbox, so I got mine cheap :D

I have in my garage an AP racing 6 piston, but I think I’ll use the lexus calipers, they look nice

We’ve the engine out (I’m the pic’s guy) and until the parts will arrive we’re cleaning the engine and cutting the gearbox to weld the at’s bellhouse

I hope the stock ECU would work fine, if not I would buy an universal ECU (Anyway I need to buy it when It’ll be boosted haha)

For the trans adapter I ordered a 3sgte flywheel. Modifying the stock holes, redrilling or weld the automatic center, will see.

Here is my friend Carlos, the welder. Thanks man for the help ;)

The gearbox looks like this today, we got the automatic bellhouse out and we were looking the dimensions to cut it. However, we need to wait the parts.

I couldn’t resist to see the engine into the Silvia. The exhaust manifold (driver side, LHD) needs to be modify, hits the steering.

Tomorrow I’ll get the clutch, so we’ll be able to work into the clutch release. Meanwhile we’re painting the engine

Next week I want to end the harness swap and weld the bellhouse.

I hope to be updating at scheduled times :smash:

Like it. I'm looking at 1uz manual gearbox options at the moment so this is interesting.

Thanks for the comments guys :) I'm from Madrid, but the car is being done in Guadalajara.

The ZF will work fine. I hope to end the bellhouse next weekend and get the propshaft dimensions.

Simon I'll see you in October ;)

    We've a lot of good roads :)

News! The project has been delayed, but we've almost finished the gearbox conversion. We're going to use a bearing 16x32

The flywheel is already modified. I put it on the engine, but I'll use an ARP bolts

We cut the front end and the gearbox site to weld the front tube and custom tunnel. All the wires will be inside.

New steering lines and fuel rails fitting.

The exhaust manifold needs to be modified because it doesn´t fit with the steering rack

At the end we've almost finished the gearbox bellhouse :)
