Hi, ive got Z32 brakes on my S13. Recently took off my abs, changed all my brake lines, and fitted new brake pads. I used the same disks as they seemed fine with no lip on them. After bleeding the brakes, and double checking, the pedal still feels quite spongy. And also there is a grinding noise, like the pad is grinding against the disk, writing it like that makes me look stupid, but ive bed them in but they are doing the same thing. Any help please?
Try re-bleeding them again (all 4 corners) and see if it was just a small air bubble stuck in the lines. Are you running the stock BMC, or have you upgraded to the larger Z32 BMC when you did the brakes??
Will it make a huge difference though? I would say I got about 2" of travel before I can feel them bind, and then really gotta stamp on the pedal to come to a sudden stop cheers for the replies though
My S14 peddle is the same, bled about 4 times and was still the same. When I changed my hydro and rebled it was a bit better, so I think I had a bubble I the line but the peddle still ain't right and I think it the master cylinder as stated above. I'm gonna fit a peddle box I think
He would be do good to bled the abs unit when he has took it OFF! LMAO Need z32 BMC fitted to sort your problem
