Recently I was looking at camber plates for the 36...I found some 50 gbp ones in eBay...Car is only street driven, but I could really use more camber at front - are the 50gbp ones worth it or should I sell my kidney for GC/Vorschlag ones ?
Right. no experiments. Perfect for street use and track ready are the M3 3.2 camberplates. The Manufacturer is "Lemförder". But you have to mount the left one on the right side and the right to the left if you want really more negative camber! You get -2,4° with that, which is perfect. It won't kill the (front )tyres. it won't be twitchy on a normal road. but it will steer like a rabbit on XTC. flicks are so much easier without ugly understeer. btw, while your at it get a strut bar.
got mine from EBay. Most spare stores got to have it too imo. Just look out for the manufacturer "Lemförder" and it's a oem part. Price is always about the same, except BMW itself is always a bit more expensive. ^^ Don't forget to mount left to right for max camber.
I have 4mm of washers and longer bolts that bolt the strut on. I get 3'3 degrees camber which is a bit to much in moist/wet conditions honestly but otherwise they are fine. And the first time I aligned my car they were spot on even camber on both sides! So I did not get charged for an expensive alignment for the top mounts.
You don't get changed expensive alignment for m3 top mounts as they are set? - - - Updated - - - To add I'd say £10 for front camber alignment isnt really fuck all.
