I'm Looking to buy a R33 1996 GTST and will be taking a look/testdrive this weekend. Just wondering if there's anything I should be looking out for.

This car will be a DD and used as a skid toy when my mx-5 is out of action, The car i'm looking at is pretty much stock other than the front bumper, intercooler, fuel pump, turbo timer and a blitz boost control. It's a friend of a friends and he is genuinely reluctant to sell it as he's starting a family soon but I just want to make sure I'm not sinking 6k into something that will fall apart because I missed something.

I'd imagine the main thing would be rust, just like any Sbody. I could be wrong and the Skylines might've been treated in the factory but I doubt it. Check under the side skirts and around the subframe mounting points.

    Check the suspension towers.
Lots of rust on the top, normally.

Looks ok if it's caught and treated now, just depends what's lurking under that fuse / Relay box!

doesn't look too bad, especially if you get it at a decent price.

Check hicas as it makes steering notchy & also when driven hard check for misfire over 4000rpm.This will most likely be coil packs.
