most garages should be able to weld your diff for around 60-70 quid.

I would have said get a e36 strip it get a welder on it. I recently had one for a bit of fun and wish I had learnt in one. They come with pretty good lock (ish) and have plenty of bhp to skid

I'd say the mx5 is better, I really like my current e36, more so than my s13 at times. But the mx5 was the most reliable drift car ever.

I was probably the only car to never once break down at Norfolk arena, I hammered the shit out of it, bog standard clutch/suspension/cooling system.

Never once gave me hassle, not on the 10k Road miles I did in it either.

E36s are good, but you need to invest in the cooling system, bog standard suspension is far far worse, as are the bushes.

Id say E36. Preferably 6cyl. Plenty of power and great looks. Also helps that there's endless amounts of parts for when you break something or the usual bolt on ///M bits.

E36, and can be built on a mega low budget, we bought a car, fitted a hydro, welded the diff, put it on shocks & springs, added a deep dish wheel for under £350

you cant go wrong with a bmw mate, less to go wrong, nice naturally aspirated power, instant throttle response, German engineering.

I'd say BMW was your best bet. Are you looking for something for road use as well or soley drift? Picking up something that has been through a few hedges already might be an affordable way to get a drift car on a budget.

When you own and drift a few MX5's you'll find that the cooling is the one down side with them as the hoses tend to split.

No I already own a 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer for on road use, I just want a drift build car with a couple of mates.
