Amazon prime is i think £70 odd a year. certainly wont be paying that just to watch a bit of top gear to be honest.
Didn't Clarkson's BBC contract prevent him from making any car based shows for 2 years after leaving Top Gear? Personally I don't buy into that articles point on why the show was so popular (ie. the way it was made) I went along to the Top Gear studio back in 2009 for the Sea Sick Steve episode and in all honesty it was fucking shite! The slap stick pissing about was far too orchestrated for my liking with the audience being told when to laugh and how to laugh for the benefit of the cameras, with Hammond in particular crying out for attention during multiple takes like some pre-pubescent midget. If Amazon try to re-invent Top Gear with the same three monkeys doing the same old shit then I can see it crashing and burning after one season.
