YO! bit of a noobie on this kinda thing.. how much would a engine swap from a 328 cost?? i know you will all say sell my 318 and buy a 328, but for some reason i just love my 318i lol.. also what would i need to change to my car for this to be done?? and what cost am i looking at? thanks for all your help
Engine, box, loom, ecu, front of prop is all you need, depends how much you find it all for. Only takes a weekend first time
I have done this conversion on my E36 318i and I can tell you it's not worth it unless you get given half the parts. Sell the car and buy a 325/328, you will save yourself a ton of money.
You must have done it wrong. You can buy a full engine conversion or even a car for £400 and it's plug and play.
im in the process of doing mine this weekend, I got engine loom ecu gearbox prop full exhaust system and bigger brakes for front oh and also anti roll bar because 6 cyl sits lower for £320 I also was able to see the car running which is a bonus lol. I only paid 700 for the car so for just over a grand ive car the car I want with the engine I want haha
Why change the arb? I didn't need to on mine and it fits fine. Don't think brakes are different either unless you have gone for m3, which is pointless on a stock 2.8
