Guys Ive got a 328 breaker which has already been converted to an m50 manifold.

Been looking for guidance and coming up with nothing.

What do I need to strip off the 328 to plonk the m50 into my 323?

I have no idea what I need other than the manifold and injectors????

    Taa

Why not spend about the same time and just drop the 2.8 in?

yeah like andy said it will probibly take you the same amount of time. I put an m54 on my m52-325tu. It is a good upgrade but once you start trying to work out were all the vacum hoses go and take it back of because you forgot to put the mentaly placed hose on at the back of the inlet. (It was my first tiem doing the conversion!) it should only take a short day to take the 323 out and droip the 323 in.

I don't have anywhere or any kit (engine hoist etc) to do it. Unless someone is near Loughborough way and fancies earning some beer tokens???

You should be able to borrow one of someone but Im on the south coast I'm affraid. wasn't tryign to put you off the m50 conversion its still worth doign its just if you have a 2.8 sitting there you may as well throw that in.

Ok so let's talk conversion, what do I need to rip out of the 328? Engine and ecu? Anything else??

Engine, ecu and if it's still got ews (which I doubt cos it's hopefully been mapped for the inlet) the chip from the key and the ews box behind the glove box.

So I'm right in thinking other than ews and ecu. It is literally plug and play? No need to change rads or gearbox etc

You can change the gearbox if you want, however I run a 2.8 with 2.3 gearbox and 1.8 diff. It seems to go really well, just make sure you have a clutch that suits the engine not the gearbox.
