Ive just had a TRD Jzx100 sent over from japan.

Ive applied for the V55/5 form which is expected in the post in the next few days.

I know the fee for this is £55 but i dont know how much it is to tax it for 6 months,

    Can anyone help?

It says DLVA will estemate how much the tax is to send with the V55/5 but i just want to be sure of the cost

    Thanks in advance :)

Pre 2001 (51 plate) it'll be around £130 for 6 months, being over the 1.6L category

I've just filled out the forms for my JZX and my understanding of the system lead me to believe it would be £126.50 for 6 months. Give them a call and let us know ;)

Ouch! I hope not. I was just under the impression it was around the £125 mark. Does anyone know how I got about finding out 100%
I know I need to contact dvla but how do I ask for a price if it's not registered yet lol

You can pay it monthly by direct debit now anyway.

Did that for my last few cars.

Yea but apparently the first time the car is taxed it has to be upfront. 6 or 12 months

I think you're also correct by saying the first lot of tax has to be an upfront bulk payment of 6/12 months. I pay £21 a month at the moment

The total DVLA cost for registration and tax on a Pre 2001 manly engined car is £181.50

That is a £55 reg fee and £126.50 for 6 months tax.

Just registered x2 JZX Chasers, so that the latest info.
