    Looking for something weird...

Was looking at the omega but it looks like it would be a shit drifter due to the lack of parts...

    Any ideas?

Mercs are almost all autos, don't want a beemer, was thinking about buying a 4x4 v8 jeep and whipping out the front driftshafts and cutting off 90% of the body :D

Could always go pre 1980's ford, or alot of other brands for that matter. Lots of cars that age are rwd, the only problem you may find is the more obscure the car the higher chance you'll struggle to get parts or have to make somethings your self

Yup, any single turbo Subaru is the new cheapo option

Pull front shafts, lock centre diff, custom front LCA's for more caster and pray your diff/axles don't explode (then just go R180 rear when they do)

Pretty solid & reliable 250hp drifter with plenty of parts around

All classic subaru's are now rusty time bombs as they have been abused by idiots with no clue.
    Good ones are still money.
Old volvos, e28 or e34 5 series or old saabs.
Problem with them all is suspension, it's costly to make them handle.

Just need to lookout for one with a recent rebuild

There's enough popping up over here to make me consider one, but i wanted a 5x114 model to fit my Advan's but keep it road legal (no conversion spacers) but they are still too exy. 6 speed and R180 would be living though

Most are getting into classic teritory, so prices are just climbing.
What about a lexis gs 300?
Don't totally dismiss auto, there's a clk amg skids down teesside with auto, and not even sure he has a handbrake.

Ironically, this is what I was looking at for the past few weeks, How much can the rear end handle on it's own? Will the diff shit itself?

I'm going to see a gs300 at the weekend, and a bmw e39 528 which has more power and manual... The GS looks like it would react slow

Well the trade secret is the Subaru Legacy, basically same car but not ragged I'm worried about the rear end though, I can't be arsed with spending dough on suspension then the rear going pop

no more than 1k-1200 something that can be chopped and fucked.

I might just get a gs300 but I know I'll start modding it and wanting a manual conversion...

Where as I can get a 5er they're lighter and more powerful than the GS

Anything else I buy will need an engine swap for the power I want 200-250

Also need to be able to get some GEO parts for extra lock

Which you can get for the subaru,

Wish I could put mine on the deck so I could show the standard lock.
It's always hard to resist modding stuff. I bought a 100quid vespa to commute to work years ago and even messed about with that!
