Bmw lsd

    Went to get my diff welded today but it turns out I have a LSD which my mechanic said he couldn't/wouldn't weld.

    He got in touch with guys who know their BMW's and apparently it's a rare LSD and worth quite a bit. I'm not too clued up so thought I'd stick pics up here and find out?

    It's a medium case, 4 bolt prop, 6 bolt drive shaft with the numbers on it:

    Yeah don't weld that it's a proper plater lsd,

    I machine out the housing to take another pair of plates and remove the spacer in the stack so you end up with 4 pairs of plates, which done correctly makes for a decent lsd,

    Cheers for the info mate. Any idea what it'd be worth as is? It locks really well but I'm after something a bit more hardcore with a welder.

    Er no idea on value, if you wanted to broaden your sales circle try rally type forum/auction, that's mainly who I do the work for
