sr20det rebuild crank question

    hi all I'm rebuilding my sr20det which suffered bottom end failure the crank has slight scoring so I thought id regrind it
    but I have been told by someone they cant be reground is this true
    or have anyone done it and how did it go

    take it to your chosen machine shop and ask them what they think of it.

    Yep they can be reground, but if it's totally knackered it might not be a good idea.
    A machine shop will tell you if it can be done, and advise (or supply) a set of larger bearings to match.
