E90 Hsds!!!

    Correct me if I'm wrong just got Hsds for the e90 and I'm not liking the design, seams to me like you clamp the threads and theres hardly nothing to clamp to Is this correct!

    The section it clamps too only has to be as deep at the clamp on the knuckle. As long as there is full engagement it's completely safe. In an ideal world it wouldn't clamp to the threads, but it's absolutely no problem to do so.
    The issue is the clamp on the knuckle of the non M3 E9x is a very small diameter, and the length of the damper is very sensitive on these cars, so the damper has to pass through the clamp.
    On the M3 version the clamp on the knuckle is much heavier duty so we can set a metal bracket in it then the damper can wind in and out of that.
