    Hi Everyone,

I have a choice of injectors for my 1jz drift car.
    I can fit 1000cc Bosch , , 850cc Bosch, 650cc Bosch or standard injectors.
The car is running a precision 5558 turbo and a Greddy E-Manage Ultimate Gold.
    What injectors should I fit?

Is it a case of Bigger the Better? or is there an ideal injector size to fit?
Like will 1000cc over fuel or whats everyones thoughts?

    Thanks for the help

Hoping to get it over 500bhp on standard internals. Might not happen with this ECU though.

Alot of people say its 1cc to 1 bhp - standard internals will get hit and miss once you go over 500 -

Personally id go 550cc and push a safe 400-450 but you'll get on better putting the money into a standalone then upgrading

Just my 2 pence, im sure alot of people will disagree

What injectors can the ECU handle is more important, ask the guy who mapped the car what he recommends

Factory ST215 Caldina GT-T (3SGTE) injectors are 540cc and direct fit into the rail and plugs

Are the 3sgte injectors high impedance? Considered them myself but got mixed info on whether they are high or low

Is the engine a JZX100 VVTi 1JZ? If so then the injectors are the same as the ST215 3SGTE

Local guy has just swapped them in and engine runs fine, even on stock ECU. Pig rich, but is wiring in an SAFC to fix that

Runs fine but pig rich = not running fine.

For fucks sake, spell it out for the simpleton then

Yes it will run on a base map and be driveable if you need to get it to the dyno
No it won't be running at optimal and will need the E-manage retuned to suit before leaning on it

    Happy?

Thanks for the input guys. I might end up putting a stand alone ECU. Just there is so many options when buying the injectors. Some lads will say "oh go for the "1000cc, Bigger is better" and other lads say "stay with 650cc and it will run nicer".

Personally i would go for 850. Should idle fine and you dont need to buy new ones again when your willing to make some more power...

Yeah, sorry for the only semi helpful information here, but injectors prefer to run a high duty cycle. As mrodoc mentioned on a 1J its a good rule of thumb that 1cc = 1bhp. So if you were running 1000cc injectors and 500bhp you would probably only be running 50% duty cycle on the injectors which wouldnt be amazing. Its not that you cant do it but i imagine the efficiency of the engine would drop because the combustion wouldnt be very good. I think. Hopefully someone with more experience can shed some light on that!
