    Hi guys,

I would need advice to choose the size of the rims for my toyota chaser.
My car is completely original for now ;)

    17309134_1217365361710260_7714817946962736109_n.

I would like to put BBS LM wheels on, But I do not know what width and which offset to choose.
I looked a bit on the internet but there is everything in width and offset.

The car is in France and the legislation does not allow me to do anything.
I can put rims in up to 18 inches and the rims must not exceed the wing of the car.
And I do not want to widen (with the roller fender) much the wings of the car.

So what can you advise me?

Here are some photos with the dimensions of the rims that I could find on the internet.

    RPF1 18x9 ET35 :

Thank you for your help ;)

FYI : I am registered and I look on the forum JZX100 however all the links of the pictures are broken :/

Im confused. You have picked a style with the BBS LM, and you have shown an assortment of sizes. So what do you need help with?

All rim sizes will be in width and offset. If i vaguely understand, you want to know what offset for what width will fit under your arches? You have shown a good selection so i think you are covered, but if you want to adjust finer detail check out www.willtheyfit.com you can use that to compare all width and offsets and how they compare in terms of how far they stick out the arch. So, pick a size that works (in terms of poke) and then put in other sizes to compare.

I may not have helped at all, but hopefully i did. If im way off the mark then please explain further if you can :)

Yes indeed all the photos are there to give me an idea of the dimensions and the rendering on the car.
But as you can see the width and offset are quite different on these photos and it puts me in doubt.

I would like a feedback from anyone who have or has had a Chaser to help me in this choice to keep me from being mistaken.

Ok, perhaps we need to explain how the sizing works then?

Width is obviously fairly straightforward. But the offset is the measurement from the centre of the rim to the mounting surface.

So if we use round numbers (and it gets confusing because width is inches and offset in mm).

10j et0 would give you 5" each side of the mounting surface. So with a zero offset, your mounting surface is in the centre of the rim.

8j et -25.4, the offset being negative pushes the mounting surface inboard or the rim itself outboard. In this case you get 3" inside the mounting surface, and 5" outside. Because the -25.4 has pushed the rim 1" out.

So when you look at the sizes, 10j et0 and 8j et-25.4 would appear exactly the same in terms of poke.

Maybe this is over the top explanation!

9.5 et 25 is about perfect on a rolled lip arch.

Et22 if you run a slimmer tyre maybe

    Ok ;)

@MaccyD : You know what I mean ? Some people tell me that some dimension goes well (9.5 ET25) and others tell me that such dimension goes well (9.5 ET45). Difficult to choose

    Great :)
Do you have any other pictures ? To get an idea.
The rims / tire had the same dimensions all around ?

    Many thanks ;)
