    Hi all,

I was trying to put the car back together and tightened both side of the flange the same amount but one of them decided to crack !

Is there a way to weld it or replace it?

How much do you think the cost will be?

My exhaust flange is broken and calling around, most people won't do it or some that do want at least £100

a new exhaust is £130 from uk supplier which I could then pass on to someone to decat ( further £20-30)?

on other side of the coin, stainless steel is 400+ on ebay which I assume are unbranded .

Would you notice a performance difference with stainless steel compared to mild steel ?

where would you call around to find welders and people who deal with this kind of thing ?
As soon as I say welding , the guy thinks you need to weld a hole and as it is, the UK garages replace rather than repair so straight answer is no.

car is almost complete but I have a broken flange as per the picture which is stopping my next drift day .
I don't think it will be a big issue apart from burning the gasket

    thanks
