Hi in the final stages of a mk2 escort sr20det conversion, I have noticed there Is a neutral switch on the gearbox however the switch is not working, I've read that it effects idle amd possibly a few other sensors, does anyone run with this disconnected? Also do you know if the switch gives an earth signal when it is in gear or when it's in neutral? Thanks, elliot

If you dont sort it, the vvt will not work and the map is different.

Is this for a Manual or Auto?

I have a manual S15 SR20DET in my S13 and it has a lumpy idle and cant find out why even though im 99% sure it has no air leaks...I have no wires connected to my gearbox either

Thanks for your help, it's for a manual, I also heard it it affects the vvt, but if I set it up so It thinks it's always in gear then surly the vvt will work but might not have the best idle, just need to know wether the ecu gets an earth signal when in gear or neutral

My S13 currently idles very funny, quite lumpy as though its got an air leak, but it doesn't rev up and down, it just drops and then comes back to normal, bit like a big cammed engine(I can assure you its not lol)

Can anybody advise what wires do what from the 6 speed S15 Gearbox? and which wires I need to connect them to on my S13 alternator/starter loom?
