Well... I'm new to this site. I'm also new to owning a 1990 240sx hatch. I'm hoping to build it for drift purposes. Right now I'm not even at daily with it. But project car is a project! Hoping to get some insight from people who have already built/continue to build theirs. Here she is. What a beaut. Complete with bondo and a sketchy wheel. So far I need a torque converter to make her happy. But why not also just replace the motor/tranny anyways? I've been reading on other people's builds. A lot of them lean towards ls1's. But I've also been looking into sr20's. We will see... IMG_20180909_222726_296.

20180914_214225. Wheels are being rattle-canned for the time being. Because why not. Purchasing a new set anyways. Will update as I go!

I will! Just finished painting the wheels today. Previous owner cracked/welded one of the wheels so I will get a new set soon. Have a sneaky suspicion they may not balance correctly. But wanted to do something with these for now. Didn't turn out as nicely as I would have liked but better than what they were before! IMG_20180919_210602_565.

Wheels are back on! Until I get a new set. Having an issue with fuel pressure or something along those lines.. thought it may be a torque converter issue at first. Will be taking a closer look soon and will post updates!

Ok so update on project missile... no issue with the fuel pressure, no issue with the torque converter. Definitely a transmission issue. I have no first/low gear. With the help of my uncle we're going to somewhat rebuild what I have. Apparently finding an automatic trans for this car is near impossible where I live unless I want to pay my soul to someone, so we'll see what happens. Thankfully he owns a shop where he builds drag racing engines/restores cars/builds cars/etc so I am able to use his lift, tools, and brains. Still new to building a car. Never have before! So I'm fortunate that way. Also!!! That one sketchy wheel I mentioned earlier in the post will never be balanced. Previous owner somewhere along the lines curb fakked it to the point of no return but did some sketchy welding to try and fix it. Purchasing a new set sometime in the near future. Sure glad I only rattle canned them and didn't powdercoat them. Ok end of rant. If you took the time to read all this gibberish so far kudos to you. High five. I'll update once the trans is out and we see what the fakk is wrong.

Well it's time for an update. Black 240 is now my donor 240. Did a bit of an upgrade. As is my black 240, this is also a 1990 240sx. Manual. SR20. Working on build ideas atm. So we will see what happens! Currently needs a new p.s. pressure line hose and should be good to get it on the road for now. Also did rear seat delete and spruced up the back. But here she is! Will post more when I figure out what to do with her. IMG_20190408_213901_144. 20190422_103409. 20190422_103548. 20190412_113930. 20190412_115943. IMG_20190413_222738_004. 20190422_104502.

Update time! So the power steering pressure line is fixed. Been driving my white one as my daily. Took off the ghetto shift boot and made my own. Swapped the headlights for some LED ones as well as the marker lights are now LED. The reverse lights are not functioning so that is next on the list to fix. Going to purchase a Grip Royal neochrome/carp etched wood steering wheel soon. Also going to have a custom shift knob made. Wahoo for progress! Still looking into what wheels I want. Too many to choose from. But here she is for now. Until next time.

Alright. Ya'll are going to think I'm ridiculous but I love it. I made covers for my visors as well. And a cover for my ebrake. Will post pics of that soon. Fixing up the kit on it today and installing some bumper billets since my front bumper sags a tad bit. Anywho. Will also post pics of those soon. I'm going with a neochrome theme on basically anything bolt/billet/small parts wise. IMG_20190615_110954. IMG_20190609_001318_406.

I like the fact you've turned something that's supposed to block sunlight into blinding you :smokin:

Ok! Bumper billets in. Custom front plate bracket on. Got pulled over the other day for no front license plate so we fixed that right up. ;) I call it, pikameow. It looks just ridiculous enough that I love it. (And no one will sit on my hood without getting a little hokey pokey ) IMG_20190617_004638_591. IMG_20190617_103558_022. Don't you just love it when your brake lights get stuck on because the ridiculous little brake stop pad shatters into 4 pieces? I don't.. so now the hole where said bs pad goes is welded shut. Process photos attached and my brake lights work once again. Then did a bit of soldering to fix my right headlight. Eventful week. Also, just replaced the fuel filter and have the fuel pump ready to go along with some new NGK Iridium spark plugs. Whoever did the spark plugs on this car last left a washer sitting on top of a spark plug. Idk who the f#@k leaves a washer sitting on top of a spark plug. Couldn't figure out why my spark plug socket wasn't fitting down in there.. What an animal. Lol. Anyways, photos attached of that, too. On another note, we replaced the cluster bulbs with some purple LED ones while we had the dash torn apart. Looks awesome. And I had to do some fancy fixing to my visors that kept falling down a bit. Nothing a few pieces of velcro can't fix. ;) I also figured out a way to not destroy my legs on the license plate bracket. It's actually fairly sharp and I don't want any little ones getting hurt when its parked. So I now have a nifty pool noodle cover for it. Extra ghetto like. Hah! Anyways.. that's all for now. Here's some pics.

Woohoo! Fuel pump and spark plugs done. IMG_20190802_090624_253. IMG_20190802_090624_254. IMG_20190802_090624_255. IMG_20190802_091226_563. IMG_20190802_091226_569. Now for some new brake pads/calipers/rotors etc. I'm no mechanic by any means. I am still learning things as I go. But I enjoy it! Can't wait to do more. :o

Apparently I forgot to update this for a minute. Well anyways here we go.. So back in September I was coming home on the highway and hit a semi tire straight on. There was no avoiding it and at 55 mph in the dark I barely had time to brake enough to not completely rip my front bumper off. Sigh. Cracked my lip into 3 pieces, tore brackets off the inside of my bumper, bent both front fenders and cracked them, etc. BUT... Good news is, I now have a wide body kit! I purchased a Rocket Bunny V2 replica kit from VSaero. The TKYO V2. I was skeptical about how good of quality it would be. After talking with a couple of my friends who have done auto body work for 30+ years I decided to give it a try. Received it and the quality is fantastic! Far better than I ever imagined. Still in the process of trimming fenders/fitting the kit on my 240. Unfortunately I have very little time each week to work on it. But it's getting there and I'm enjoying my little accomplishments as I go. Also new news, removed all the window tint and the rear bumper. I'm also designing a bash bar to take the rear bumpers place for that nice flat booty look. Oh.. and that stick that used to hold my hatch open??? Replaced by new gas shocks. What a world of difference something so simple can make. On top of all this I've decided to vinyl wrap my 240 when all is said and done. I know exactly how I want it and it'll be interesting to try my hand at wrapping a car. Anywho... here are some photos. Enjoy. :blowkiss: IMG_20200106_001927_947. IMG_20200112_183416_175. Argh, I like your enthusiasm but I cant stand Rocket Bunny kits, especially when it was dressed as a Type X before which in my eye is the best look!

Ahh yes. I'm the opposite. The type x look isn't super appealing to me at all. But to each their own!
