quick question for all you driftworkers out there, I have a 1.8 Nissan Prairie M10 and was looking at putting a Ca18det engine in it, obviously FWD! Could i use the same gearbox from mine and perhaps an aftermarket lsd? Does the RWD engine have any differences to the ultra rare FWD Ca18 bluebird turbo?! I’m stuck!!

Welcome to the DW forums! Love a boxy old nissan. As far as I'm aware the gearbox from a CA18s/ CA20s (Very common for FWD nissans of that era) should bolt up to a CA18DET. There's a few guys in the bluebird community running DETs in place of the standard engines. Also the "ultra rare" bluebird engine was a single cam CA18ET with less power than a DET. So you're going along the right path with your choice of engine.

Also pretty sure I saw that Prairie for sale the other day, does look clean for its age. Make sure you keep on top of polishing/ waxing the paint otherwise it'll pink again in no time, my Bluebird didn't take long at all.
